|Gail Goetz specializes in working with middle school and high school students with learning disabilities, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorders, executive functioning weaknesses, anxiety, and overall academic difficulties. She particularly specializes in helping students with math learning disabilities. She meets with students on a weekly basis and focuses on learning strategies, specific academic areas, time management and organization, development of self esteem, and school success. Each student is treated as an individual with his/her own strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. Gail also keeps in contact with teachers, psychologists, psychiatrists, and any other specialists involved with her students.
In addition to remediation, Gail specializes in college placement for students with learning disabilities, ADHD, and anxiety, as well as students who struggle with grades and SAT scores. She meets with students and their parents to determine the “best fit” college for the student’s individual academic, social, and emotional needs. She discusses necessary accommodations needed in college and suggests colleges that match each student’s individual needs. Students meet with Gail regularly as they go through the college search and application process.
Gail Goetz works with clients in the greater Atlanta area.
